Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Biostatistician, Pharmacoepidemiology to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Rockville, MD. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing Real World Evidence (RWE) curriculum for the National Covid Cohort Collaborative (N3C) under the new AIM-AHEAD program. The AIM-AHEAD initiative aims to transform scientific insights into educational resources for future investigators, researchers, and collaborators. Responsibilities: Develop RWE curriculum for the AIM-AHEAD extension of N3C.
Collaborate with instructional designers to create innovative epidemiology courseware.
Serve as a subject matter expert on RWE and NCATS leadership.
Implement recommendations on standardization, reproducibility, and data transparency.
Develop standards for the operationalization and effective use of Causal and AI/ML methods applied to Real-World Data (RWD).
Lead the design and execution of RWE studies using observational data.
Present findings internally, to the NIH, and at selected conferences.
Qualifications: Ph.D. or Postdoc preferred; Minimum MS in computer science, (bio)statistics, or similar quantitative degree, or MPH with relevant experience.
Proven track record of working with real-world clinical data.
Familiarity with medical coding systems and modern machine learning techniques.
Proficiency in R and Python with knowledge of SQL and data management.
Strong oral and written communication skills with a positive attitude and creative outlook.
NIH experience is preferred.
