The
Oregon Health Authority (OHA), Public Health Division (PHD), Health Licensing Office (HLO)
is recruiting for a Board Specialist to provide support to the in operations and development of policy and rules related the boards/councils/programs regulated by the Health Licensing Office (HLO). In addition, this position provides front-line direction to customers and board members by providing guidance related to diverse and unrelated board rules and policies. This position also provides independent analysis of research related to policy development and assists the policy analyst in developing and drafting rules.Preference will be given to candidates fluent in American Sign Language; although not required so please apply today!

However, there is a requirement to work a minimum of 24 hours a week at the primary work location: 1430 Tandem Ave NE, Suite 180, Salem, OR. Work location can be changed at any time at the discretion of the hiring manager.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis.

Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability conceptualize and complete projects independently.
Fluency in American Sign Lanuguage is preferred.
Proficiency with general admin support software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe, Teams, Zoom, etc.
