Job Description - Chief Operating Officer

Emerging multi concept hospitality portfolio in NYC, Hamptons, Los Angeles.

Starting with the warmest of welcomes, our venues are designed to create transportive experiences in food, wine, and service.

Objectives of this role

  • Collaborate with Founder/ CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operations strategy, and hiring of key personnel
  • Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning
  • Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organizational goals are met
  • Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention

Responsibilities

  • Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement
  • Implement business strategies and plans that align with the short- and long-term objectives developed, in tandem with CEO
  • Oversees all aspects of restaurant’s operations, financial success and profitability, brand integrity, and workplace culture while ensuring standards of quality and service are maintained
  • Manage capital investments and expenses aggressively to ensure that the company achieves investor targets for growth and profitability
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with key stakeholders, vendors, guests, clients, investment partners

 

 

GENERAL OPERATIONS

  • Oversee operations at all existing restaurants and all openings
  • Responsible for direct management and oversight of all GMs and Culinary Management
  • Maintain and monitor the operation’s labor costs, financial controls, security procedures taking appropriate action(s) when required.
  • Oversee and ensure that the management team understands financial responsibilities and overall business strategies by training, coaching, and developing.
  • Monitor and continually improves performance of the venues and retail through analysis of guest/customer feedback and financial results.
  • Train, coach, and develop team on service standards, brand concept, and leadership.
  • Foster a collaborative and engaged working environment throughout the company; promoting a team-centric culture that will lead to a positive employee experience.

The successful candidate has a minimum of 3 years in a Director of Operations role or as a Managing Partner, managing over $20m in annual revenue.
