**Clinical Research Scientist - Providence Portland Medical Center at Earle E. Chiles Research Institute (EACRI)**


**Fulltime, Days (Mon-Fri)**

A highly motivated individual is sought to join the Adoptive Cell Therapy Lab led by Dr. Eric Tran as a **_Scientist_** at the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute (EACRI). The major goal of this lab is to develop new and more effective T-cell transfer immunotherapies to treat patients with metastatic epithelial cancers. The EACRI contains a cleanroom facility that can generate cellular products for treating patients in early phase clinical trials. Thus, promising findings are directly translated into experimental therapies that can be used to treat patients with cancer here at Providence Cancer Institute.


Applicants must have a PhD in immunology or related field. Responsibilities of the position include designing and executing experiments, data analysis, presentation of results, preparation of manuscripts, and training and education. The candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a larger team. Outstanding organizational skills, great attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and high scientific integrity and rigor are essential. A strong working knowledge of molecular and cellular biology are major assets. Other major assets include experience with gene engineering techniques (viral and non-viral), next-generation sequencing platforms, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), ELISPOT assay, multicolor flow cytometry, and T-cell culture.


**Required Qualifications:**


+ Master's Degree in appropriate field, Or


+ Ph.D. in appropriate field.


+ 2 years Biomedical research experience.
