Embark Behavioral Health is seeking an experienced Content Writer to join our marketing team. This individual will create compelling, SEO-optimized content that engages our target audience and supports our mission of helping young people overcome mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will have expertise in web copy, blog writing, email nurture campaign writing, creative writing, and ad copy. All of which should adhere to our established, empathetic, brand voice.

Objectives:

• Create engaging content that positions us as best in class within the healthcare sector to both families and partners looking to refer families to our care.
• Promote Embark Behavioral Health’s mission through clear and compelling storytelling and empathetic writing.
• Nurture clients and partners through the business pipeline through writing and developing email nurture campaigns.
• Complete writing assignments within project specifications and deadlines.
• Increase website traffic using SEO best practices.

• Write and edit web copy, blog posts, nurture campaign emails, and ad copy.
• Conduct in-depth research on industry topics and convey findings accurately.
• Identify improvements in content writing process and identify solutions proactively.
• Turn project briefs into compelling content that relates to the relevant target audience and either informs or converts. Content Writer should be able to assume which is the best approach depending upon audience and goal.
• Optimize blog and website content for SEO and improve organic search rankings.
• Maintain and follow Embarks established, empathetic brand voice across all content platforms.
• Collaborate closely with the Content and SEO Manager and other team members to ensure alignment in branding and messaging.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience writing CRO-driven landing page and service page copy.
• Experience writing SEO-optimized blog articles.
• Experience writing email nurture campaigns.
• Exceptional written communication skills with expert-level grammar.
• Ability to quickly proofread and edit.
• Ability to create content that empathetically relates to our families seeking care.
• Willingness to work within a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with AI writing assistance software such as Jasper, Scalenut, SEMRUSH and Rankmath.
• Ability to generate innovative content ideas.
• Proven track record as a strategic thinker and go-getter.
• Proficiency in SEO best practices and web-based research.
• Portfolio of relevant writing samples included in application.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience as a content writer or copywriter.
• Creative writing experience.
• Familiarity with the behavioral health industry.
• Knowledge of digital marketing trends and techniques.
• Experience in brand sentiment measurement and social listening in SEMRUSH.
• Experience with content management systems such as WordPress.
