About the Opportunity

DMI is looking for a Delivery Lead to support Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Strong leadership skills with a proven record of accomplishment of managing the delivery of

technical solutions through the hands on management of analysts, technical leads, developers

and QA resources• Strong project management skills, with experience in organizing, planning, and executing

large scale projects from vision through implementation, involving internal personnel,

contractors, and vendors • Extensive knowledge in Software Development Lifecycle methodologies and tools including: • Waterfall • Agile • JIRA/Confluence • Jenkins/GIThub/SVN• Ability to managing project financials and recoveries in alignment with an overall project

budget process • Strong Technical knowledge with hands-on experience, managing application development • Strong verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express complex technical

concepts in business terms • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and persuade at all management levels and

thrive in a cross-functional environment

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:   

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in planning and delivering application development projects using various software development lifecycle methodoligies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall) : 

Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:  

  • Experience with web technologies/projects (Java/J2EE, CSS, HTML5 and JavaScript (Angular, JQuery, Bootstrap, etc), JSON, XML)
  • Experience with web service technology platforms and frameworks (IBM Integration Bus (IIB), Spring Services)
  • Must have a technical background and be capable of managing technical resources through design, develop, test, and technical implementation activities of a project.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience with agile / iterative methodologies to deliver solutions
  • Strong experience in managing Application Development projects with multiple parallel workstreams
  • Strong skills in effectively utilizing MS Project to establish meaningful project schedules and manage project delivery is required
  • Hands on experience using JIRA within the project delivery methodology is required
  • Automotive experience preferred with emphasis on Sales
