Design and Analysis Engineer

Volt is immediately hiring for a Design & Analysis Engineer 2 in Hazelwood, MO. Position Type: Full time (Contract)
Duration: 6 months As a Design & Analysis Engineer 2 you will :

• Develops and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
• Designs hardware, software, and interface specifications.
• Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
• Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
• Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
• Research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

Required skills:

• Bachelor, Master, or Doctor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
• Experience creating electrical schematics.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1+ years of experience in electrical/electrical system design.
• 1+ years of experience with an electronic design tool.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in electrical/electrical system design.
• Experience with a broad range of power, signal, and instrumentation hardware used in test.
• Experience with test hardware control and troubleshooting.
• Experience with wire shop fabrication capabilities including inspection & check-out.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or MentorGraphics.
