Design engineer

Description

As a Controls Design Engineer I , you will work with some of the most talented engineers in the automation industry. This role will enable you to further develop your controls/electrical design experience. The innovative solutions we design offer diverse experiences that will strengthen your skills and challenge your abilities.

What You’ll Do:

• 
  Create electrical and fluid power schematics.

• Understand and ensure compliance with applicable industry standards.

• Communicate with mechanical designers, machine builders, electricians, plumbers, and controls engineers throughout the design process.

• Ensure equipment is designed and programmed to specifications using standard techniques.

What You’ll Bring:

• 
  Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field OR Associates degree with 2+ years of related experience

• Knowledge of applicable industry standards.

• Experience with electrical and fluid power circuits

Skills You’ll Have:

• 
  Proficient with CAD (i.e. AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks).

• Ability to understand electrical/pneumatic schematic drawings.

• Basic electrical & pneumatic calculations

Other Details:

• 
  Travel up to 10% to customer sites & other JR locations
