Director of Nursing

Position Title: Director of Nursing - Psychiatric Facility

Location: Columbus, OH

Salary Range: $120,000 - $135,000 per annum

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to fill the role of Director of Nursing at our psychiatric facility. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight to the nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
2. Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
3. Collaborate with other members of the leadership team to develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve patient outcomes and enhance operational efficiency.
4. Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
5. Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
6. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and monitor key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
7. Act as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare providers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
8. Provide mentorship and support to nursing staff to promote professional development and growth.

Qualifications:

1. Current RN licensure
2. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
3. Experience in a psychiatric facility, with demonstrated leadership experience.
4. Strong understanding of psychiatric nursing principles and practices.
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and electronic health record systems.
