Job Description - Director of Recruitment

Position Summary:

The Director of Recruitment is responsible for developing and executing effective recruiting strategies to increase girl and adult membership by creating annual recruitment plans and managing the execution of the annual recruitment plans for the council. She/he is also responsible for meeting assigned benchmarks on an annual basis and works cross-functionally with other departments to meet membership goals.

Position Qualifications:

  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including many evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including listening skills.
  • Experience in managing sales or recruitment teams.
  • Prior experience designing and implementing sales or recruitment plans.
  • Understanding of GSSEM's membership systems.
  • Demonstrated skill in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn additional computer programs as necessary.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or at least five years of experience in recruitment or sales, with a preference for recruitment within school or youth settings, including management experience.
  • Ability to travel to service centers and to meetings throughout the designated territory.

Starting salary: $67,000
