Engineering Manager

Title: Engineering Manager - Environmental Control Systems
Location: Sunbury, OH 43074
Salary: $125,000 - $150,000 + Relocation $$ Founded in 1964 we are a 75 employee manufacturer of custom environmental control systems.  We have seen a huge uptick in demand for dry rooms (specialized facility designed to maintain low humidity levels) for areas like surgery rooms, packaging companies, chocolate manufacturers, water treatment facilities, car battery manufacturers etc.  We are looking to hire an Engineering Manager who can serve as a working manager who can help the Dir. of Engineering oversee bigger projects.  You would have 3 applications engineers, 3 electrical engineers and 5 mechanical engineers reporting directly to you.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead engineering team to determine equipment configuration & change needed to fulfill customer equipment requirement
• Develop cost effective design of equipment & controls that meet the customer objectives 
• Actively participate in product development as most of our units are custom work
• Serve as internal resource on product issues
• Interface w/ customers on engineering matters & propose improvement 
• As a working manager, you will contribute daily to engineering projects in the following: controls, electrical, mechanical or applications engineering

What You Need for this Position

• Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or similar (OR equivalent experience)
• Engineering experience in desiccant dehumidification is ideal 
• Understanding of psychometrics & properties of air is ideal
• Design experience w/ custom engineered products is ideal 
• Previous selection, sizing & design of various system components 
• Working knowledge of HVAC equipment operation & design practices
