Job Description - F&B Floor Manager

Job Summary: The F&B Floor Manager at The Foundry Hotel Asheville, Curio Collection is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the food and beverage operations on the hotel’s floor. This individual contributor role requires a motivated and organized individual with excellent leadership and customer service skills. The F&B Floor Manager will work closely with the F&B Director to ensure a smooth and efficient operation that meets and exceeds guest expectations. Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time, hourly position with a starting rate of $25 per hour. Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train all F&B floor staff, including servers, bartenders, and food runners, to ensure high-quality service and product knowledge
  • Create and maintain schedules for F&B floor staff, adhering to labor budgets and ensuring appropriate coverage for all shifts
  • Manage inventory and ordering of supplies, including food, beverage, and equipment, to maintain adequate stock levels
  • Work closely with F&B Director to develop and implement training programs for new and existing staff
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and handle any guest complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards and regulations in the F&B department
  • Conduct regular meetings with F&B floor staff to provide updates, gather feedback, and discuss any issues
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as kitchen and events, to coordinate and execute successful F&B operations
  • Keep updated on industry trends and make recommendations for improvements and innovations within the F&B department
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a food and beverage supervisory or managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including ordering, inventory, and cost control
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods of time, and work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
  • Knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills
  • Must be able to obtain any required certifications or licenses, such as a food handler’s permit or alcohol serving permit
