JR Automation is currently looking for an exceptional candidate to fill the position of Finance Director. Based in Salt Lake City, UT, this role involves collaborating with a team of automation experts to set financial and operational benchmarks, create budgets, monitor programs, and establish reporting standards for projects that deliver customized, innovative, and integrated solutions to our clients. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role is ideal for an individual who can blend the financial precision with engineering creativity, all while prioritizing customer needs.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.

• Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.

• In conjunction with the CFO, establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis.

• Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, upholding federal, state, and local legal standards by remaining knowledgeable about existing, new, and future legislation.

• Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow.

• Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.

• Cash flow and Treasury Management for annual, quarterly, and monthly forecasts and actuals

• Verify Payroll amounts, adjustments, and managing issues if they transpire.

• Credit control for customers and vendors working with sales and purchasing in a proactive process.

• Internal/External Audit management

• Grants / Tax Abatement management including presenting to government for request and clarifications.

• Support ERP implementation working toward a goal of one ERP – guide the alignment to one process in accounting and consolidation.

• Corporate Insurance and risk management

• Leases / IFRS16

• Sales Commissions calculations and reporting

• Ensure workpaper completion and reconciliation within each entity and at corporate level.

What You’ll Bring:

• 5+ years’ experience as a senior-level accounting or finance controller.

• Working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (GAAP).

• Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.

• Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis

• Proven payroll experience, with a focus on streamlining accounting processes.

• Exemplary history of financial project management

• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting

• Travel to customer sites & other JR locations up to 20%
