FP&A Analyst - Marketing

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:
We are hiring an FP&A Analyst - Marketing within the global FP&A organization. The FP&A team partners with teams across The Knot Worldwide to provide timely insights, reporting, and analysis on key business decisions. This individual's primary function will be to coordinate, analyze and report financial information to be utilized in planning across the Company. This role will provide management with reporting and analysis of marketing expenses and monthly results on a consistent basis in addition to supporting ad-hoc finance projects. The ideal candidate has a financial background with an excitement for driving key strategic marketing discussions with data to guide future resource allocation based on past campaigns and macro level trends. They will report to the Senior Manager, FP&A - Marketing and can operate in the role either remotely or in a hybrid capacity if the candidate is located near a TKWW office location. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain financial models to support marketing forecasting and budgeting for The Knot Worldwide
• Collaborate with Marketing and Data teams to understand key business drivers and develop forecasts for campaign spend & revenue as they relate to estimated impact on traffic, and member actions taken
• Modeling - Create financial models to reflect strategic priorities, with primary focus of this role being marketing impact and forecasting
• Analysis - Design and execute regular financial analysis to identify critical areas for attention and the evaluation of strategic options.
• Reporting - Preparation and presentation of financial reporting for management, the Board, and other key stakeholders.
• Provide meaningful and informative analysis to explain any variations in the business results from the financial plan.
• Planning - Develop department-level financial budgets and forecasts utilizing inputs from department managers and project-focused spending plans.
• Establish a deep understanding of key drivers of each supported function and leverage data to build insights about our products and competitors.
• Collaboration - Effectively collaborate with the Accounting team on completion of monthly and quarterly financial closes and incorporation of actual results into the rolling forecast.
• Partner with department managers outside of the Finance and Accounting teams as necessary for forecast inputs, ad hoc analysis and process improvements.
• Take initiative to automate management reporting and document business processes.
• Help develop and monitor critical success metrics, and communicate actionable insights to relevant stakeholders.
• Other projects/duties as assigned.

SUCCESSFUL FP&A ANALYST CANDIDATES HAVE:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
• 1-2 years of experience in financial analysis or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with financial modeling and forecasting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite products
• Experience working on a global team with different currencies, cultures, languages, etc.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Spanish is a plus but not required
• Experience with marketing and advertising is a plus
