Job Description - General Sales Manager

Job Summary: As the General Sales Manager at All Star Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram in Bridgeton, Missouri, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the sales department, ensuring the achievement of sales objectives and profitability targets. You will be a key player in driving sales and meeting revenue goals, while also providing exceptional customer service and maintaining positive relationships with customers and employees. This individual contributor role requires a highly motivated and experienced sales professional with a proven track record in the automotive industry. Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time sales job in the auto industry with a salary range of $100,000 to $300,000 per year, paid weekly. Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the sales team, setting clear goals and expectations and holding team members accountable for performance
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and initiatives to increase dealership sales and maximize profitability
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations for pricing, promotions, and strategies to increase sales
  • Train and coach sales staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service best practices
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by resolving any issues or concerns that may arise
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and service, to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience
  • Oversee inventory management and pricing strategies to ensure a healthy and profitable inventory mix
  • Participate in sales negotiations and close deals with key customers as needed
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to inform sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive sales, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and building successful sales teams
  • Strong knowledge of automotive sales processes, techniques, and best practices
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM systems preferred
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
