Our client is an $8+ billion chemical manufacturing company, with multiple plants across the US and globally.
We are looking for an HR Manager for one of their UNION facilities in metro Mobile, AL.
Here's the basics of what we are looking for:
- Partner with managers to fill new and existing openings, and establish development plans for employees with a focus on high potential employees
- Assist in the articulation of the values and culture of the organization and propose HR management activities which support the organization’s culture
- Administer affirmative action and other employee relations programs
- M anage and motivate staff; review and assess performance, develop and build employee skills, support their professional development and enable employees to optimize their contribution to the department
HR Manager Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree* in Human Resources, Labor/Industrial Relations, Business Management, Organizational Development or related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years related HR Generalist experience; industrial and manufacturing environments preferred; process or chemical plant environments preferred; experience working in an OFCCP regulated environment strongly preferred
- A bility to offer subject matter expertise on HR compliance/employment law knowledge, succession planning, employee retention, organizational capability, leadership development, performance management, team building and employee relations
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop HR staff; build strong and engaged teams.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license
- MUST have LABOR/UNION experience
