Job Description - Lead Field Technician

InfraHire is looking for Service in Milford, CT

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNTIONS:


1. Directly responsible for computerized dispatching of field trade labor via cell, and other appropriate communication means.

2. Directly responsible for communication effectively with customers to assure a high degree of satisfaction. Scheduling and follow up communications directly with customer.

3. Review with the General Manager, all facets of the dispatch function; regarding effectiveness, and customer care and internal communication issue and or dispatch improvement ideas.


4. Directly responsible for maintaining computerized customer records.

5. Directly responsible for coordinating and expediting shipping and receiving of all parts orders according to Company purchase orders procedures for service work including quoting and ordering.


6. Directly responsible for processing all warranty and other material returns, and associated paperwork.


7. Directly responsible for maintaining control and tracking of warehouse and jobsite materials stock, and truck inventories.


8. Directly responsible for purchasing materials for all categories of service work

9. Directly responsible to estimate and provide quotes for parts and minor labor based service and equipment replacement jobs.


10. Directly responsible for coordinating and scheduling service agreement inspections.


11. Directly responsible to record dates and services performed on service contracts in company records and to supply customers with monthly work to be done and work completed reports.


12. Directly responsible for maintaining refrigerant usage and recovery information per EPA requirements.


13. Directly responsible for monitoring trade labor safety, quality and productivity procedures.


14. Directly responsible for ensuring that all trade labor are adequately equipped with transportation, tools, and uniforms.


15. Establishes and maintains an effective system of communications throughout the service department that promotes moral, ethical and legal conduct of business and encourages participation in cost reduction and productivity programs. Relay technical concerns to the General Manager.


16. Directly responsible for maintaining and scheduling open call backlog
17. Directly responsible for coordinating service fleet maintenance.


18. Directly responsible for providing feedback to the General Manager regarding service dispatch trends, cost saving opportunities and customer issues.


19. Directly responsible for developing the service department development plans, strategies, and tactics to systematically and consistently fulfill contractual obligations, meet or exceed company profit objectives and to deliver customer satisfaction.


20. Assist General Manager in recruiting, interviewing and hiring of service personnel.Directly responsible for deploying, and training operating and trade personnel and evaluating and implementing productivity enabling technologies to ensure the efficient delivery of the Company's products and services.


21. Reviews operating results of the service department, and takes steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results.


22. Review with the General Manager, all facets of service organization; regarding performance, and customer care and employee development programs.

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE:

Two to five years of proven service management experience preferably in an Industrial Refrigeration service organization and working knowledge of industrial service agreement and project delivery procedures.

ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL SKILLS:

1. Understand the basic service call and service agreement delivery procedures. 2. Must understand how the dispatch function impacts profitability and customer satisfaction. 3. Must be highly customer care orientated. 4. Must have excellent organizational skills for planning and coordinating the various dispatch tasking functions. 5. Must have excellent computer skills to include E-mail, Word Processing, Spreadsheet, MS Project and Presentation tools. 6. Must have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
