Pay: $18 per hour

Work Schedule:  Monday through Friday 6:00am to 2:00 pm

JOB SUMMARY:

The Lead I, Job Coach will provide job coaching and ongoing support services to develop client abilities while maximizing their independence in an employment setting. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Job Coaching:

  • The Lead I, Job Coach, will provide job coaching to the community custodial crews. The custodial crews clean Goodwill of Colorado Retal Stores. Cleaning includes: mopping, vacuuming, dusting as well as other duties as assigned. The Lead will ensure they provide direction, supervision and assistance to all assigned clients while performing custodial services in the Goodwill stores. 
  • The Lead will ensure that they are familiar with each personal goal of their assigned consumers and will document person specific information related to the goal every day they work. It is critical that the Lead is person specific trained for each individual they work with and ensure that safety is maintained at all times. The incumbent will teach proper work habits, interaction skills, and self-help skills through role modeling and programmatic intervention. 
  • The Lead will facilitate training the employment methods to increase productivity and assist with remedial training when needed. The Lead will ensure complete supervision occurs while the assigned clients are working.

Client/Program Tracking and Reporting’s:

  • The Lead I, Job Coach must complete all necessary documentation to include daily log notes, incident reports, timecards, vehicle documentation, as assigned. It is important the incumbent follows strict deadlines for paperwork completion, to ensure regulation compliance.

Transportation:

  • The incumbent is responsible for driving the clients to and from their various job settings. The incumbent must pass the required driving requirements set forth by Goodwill and ensure that safety is always maintained while clients are in the vehicles. The Lead must report any concerns about company vehicles to their supervisor as soon as they are aware.

Relationship Management:

  • The Lead will communicate and coordinate with various stakeholders pertaining to the health and safety of all clients. The Lead will keep the Program Manager informed of progress, considerations, concerns, pertinent information, or problems. Any issues that may arise need to be reported to the Supervisor immediately. The Lead may need to attend client meetings and company meetings as assigned. 
  • The Lead will complete all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Experience:

  • Applicable experience working with individuals who have physical, emotional, or developmental disabilities is preferred. 
  • A valid Colorado driver’s license without a history of violations is required. The incumbent will be responsible for transporting clients in a company issued vehicle.

Other:

  • It is preferred that the incumbent have excellent writing and verbal communication skills and demonstrate the ability to interact with various types of internal and external customers.
  • The incumbent must have the ability to deal effectively with people who are disabled, and other stakeholders.
  • The incumbent must be able to work independently and cooperatively with all teams. The incumbent must be able to deal effectively with conflict while always ensuring they are professional.
  • Per contract requirements with vehicle insurance provider: Qualified candidates must be 21 years of age and have no major traffic violations for previous 3 years (for driving/insurance purposes). Must have reliable transportation; must also be able to operate company vehicle.
