As an Early Childhood Lead Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and enriching environment for children aged two years old. Your responsibilities include curriculum planning, classroom management, and fostering positive relationships with both children and their families. Key Responsibilities: Curriculum and Teaching: Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth of children.
Create engaging learning activities based on children's interests and developmental needs.
Assess children's skills and progress, maintaining accurate records of their development.
Organize special events and activities, such as field trips and guest speakers, to enhance learning experiences.
Classroom Management: Maintain a well-organized and stimulating classroom environment that encourages creativity and exploration.
Establish behavior guidelines and provide positive guidance to support children's social and emotional development.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children, including implementing health and hygiene practices and administering first aid when necessary.
Nutrition: Coordinate meal and snack preparation, promoting healthy eating habits and manners.
Create a relaxing mealtime environment that encourages positive social interactions among children.
Center-wide Responsibilities: Collaborate with colleagues on center-wide activities and initiatives.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
Assist with maintaining shared spaces and equipment, and communicate any needs to the center director.
Supervision: Provide guidance and support to teaching staff, including mentoring new employees and conducting regular team meetings.
Evaluate staff performance and provide constructive feedback to support their professional growth.
Family Relationships: Communicate regularly with families to share information about children's progress and daily activities.
Respect the confidentiality of sensitive information and address families' concerns with empathy and professionalism.
Facilitate family conferences and events to foster strong partnerships between home and school.
Qualifications: Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
18 credits in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education from a regionally accredited college or university.
Three plus years of experience in early childhood settings.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and friendly demeanor.
