Maintenance Supervisor
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. The Maintenance Supervisor will play a crucial role in overseeing maintenance operations within our manufacturing facility, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of heavy machinery and automation systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance, supervisory experience, and expertise in refrigeration systems, electrical systems, and schematics.
This role is onsite in the Vancouver, Washington area.
Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities
Train, supervise, and hire employees of the maintenance department, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
Ensure operational efficiency of equipment and mechanical systems, implementing preventive maintenance measures to minimize downtime.
Track metrics of facility performance and develop strategies for continuous improvement, optimizing productivity and reducing costs.
Implement workplace safety policies and procedures, conducting regular inspections and maintaining up-to-date documentation of facilities.
Occasionally operate forklift and manufacturing equipment as needed to support maintenance activities.
Maintenance Supervisor Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Prior experience in heavy machinery and automation manufacturing, with a demonstrated ability to run the shop floor and supervise maintenance operations.
Strong maintenance background, with knowledge of refrigeration systems such as ammonia and CO2, as well as electrical systems and schematics.
Familiarity with PLC software and automation systems, with the ability to operate and understand their purpose.
Preferred:
Ammonia RETA CIRO Certification is a plus.
Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
Salary: $90k-$100k (DOE)
