Marketing Associate

The Marketing Manager collaborates with the Marketing and Communications Directors and other departments to bring the Y brand vision to life through creative, innovative campaigns that drive revenue and build awareness. Following Y-USA brand guidelines, the marketing manager assists in designing print, digital, and video collateral for the entire organization and guides the effort to visually represent the Y as a leading non-profit.

• Design, produces and distributes marketing materials and program information (day-to-day graphics for flyers, invitations, billboards, advertisements, and social media) to promote YMCA programs in accordance with a marketing plan and YMCA brand strategy and style guidelines.
• Works with Director of Marketing to conceptualize and develop marketing campaigns.
• Monitors brand compliance in all print, digital and video communications.
• Proofs and approves any staff-created flyers or collateral.
• Manages multiple, varied projects with complex timelines and production schedules.
• May perform proofreading as well as some copywriting/editing of YMCA materials.
• Can work within well- established brand guidelines ensuring fidelity, look and feel, as well as creative ways to share the message. Works to ensure that all demographics are represented.
• Manages social media accounts. Posts social media ads to specialized markets, track performance, and adjusts when necessary. Posts programs photos following the marketing calendar.
• Assists in providing training for all staff in online brand cohesion software and social media manager.

• At minimum, degree progress or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, or graphic design
• Proficient in Adobe Suite, Canva/Marq, Social Media, SEO
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Detail-oriented with problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated experience setting and managing priorities
• Demonstrates an active willingness to learn and grow; accepts constructive criticism; works cooperatively as a team member
• Ability to pass and obtain FBI Background check and fingerprint clearance
