Mechanical Drafter

We are currently looking to fill a Mechanical Drafter position with a Tulsa based manufacturing company focused on oil and gas related production. Hours: 8a-5p or 7a-430p.
Pay: $60,000-$70,000.
Our client specializes in delivering innovative combustion solutions to our clients. The company operates within Oracle NetSuite, requiring detailed drawings that seamlessly integrate with our ERP system. They aim to formalize their drafting capability to support production processes effectively while providing technical support to the sales team in promoting combustion solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Drafter, you will play a crucial role in developing detailed drawings that align with our manufacturing requirements and integrate seamlessly with Oracle NetSuite. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Utilizing CAD software such as AutoCAD to create and update 2D/3D drawings with accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), Weld Procedures, Order of Operations, and weight specifications for final products.
• Contributing to the development and maintenance of our comprehensive drawing library, ensuring accurate documentation and cataloging for easy retrieval and modification.
• Collaborating with various departments to ensure the drawing library meets organizational needs and supports efficient production processes.
• Developing modeling capabilities to support manufacturing processes, focusing on standardization and optimization within the library.
• Ensuring accuracy and precision in drawings, adhering to industry standards and specifications, and continuously improving the quality and usability of the drawing library.
• Implementing welding symbols and paying attention to inference detection when updating drawings.
• Communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and address any issues related to the drawing library.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering technology (MET) or a related field, combined with 2D/3D drafting experience in the field.
• Experience with CAD software such as Fusion 360 or AutoCAD, with a focus on detailed drafting and engineering.
• Familiarity with ERP systems or similar software, demonstrating an understanding of integrated systems' operations and the importance of data accuracy and consistency.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring the precision of drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to facilitate effective teamwork and coordination.
• Experience in providing technical support to sales teams or customer-facing roles is preferred.
• Knowledge or experience in combustion systems or related fields is advantageous.
