Job Description - Mechanical Engineer


Do you desire to be part of something special, be part of a winning team and enjoy mechanical design? Then this is the job for you! Direct Hire opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer located in Renton, WA
As a Mechanical Engineer you will:
  • Act as Mechanical Design Engineer on cross-functional development teams.
  • Consider customer requirements, quality & and reliability targets, cost optimization, and design for manufacturability in all new product designs.
  • Create and maintain detailed engineering drawings and materials specifications.
  • Utilize tolerance stack-up analysis standards to analyze and refine designs.
  • Develop bills of materials, unique product & and process characteristics, DFMEAs, test & and inspection criteria, and other engineering documentation as necessary;
  • Communicate effectively with customers and suppliers during prototype, pre-launch, and early product launch activities;
  • Phase leader in managing the technical development of products and their maintenance, coordinating the activities of the other functions;
  • Develops technical and economic feasibility studies, interacting with internal functions and external sourcing;
  • Ensures compliance with product development timelines, risk analysis, and critical parts, up to the definition of BOMs with Purchasing, Industrialization;
  • Coordinates the product development phases up to the prototyping and pre-series production, taking care of regulatory and technological aspects of the field tests.
This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity. Ideal candidate will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BS in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing);
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years in an R&D dept. or similar experience;
  • Problem-solving, and collaborative approach;
  • Working experience with 3D and 2D CAD and technical calculation methods (tolerance stack-up, thermodynamics, mechanics of materials.);
  • Design for Manufacture knowledge for injection molding/ machining/ stamping processes
  • Strong team player with critical thinking and a "Can do" attitude;
  • Good coordination and planning skills.
  • Ability to interpret and construct electrical schematics and specifications.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
