Job Title: Multimedia Technical Specialist

Schedule: Full-Time, Exempt

Location : Onsite in Provo, UT

Pay : Salary plus Benefits, DOE

Purpose

This position plays a crucial role in refining media operations for the Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine. The individual in this position will create digital signage, stream live events, provide AV and technical support for college events, review educational videos and videos of college events for quality control and approval, and other duties assigned by the Creative Director. The Media Tech Specialist will work in a collaborative environment, reporting directly to both the Creative Director and the IT Director. The position offers a variety of tasks and responsibilities, providing a stimulating and engaging workday with opportunities to develop a broad skill set.

Accountabilities

· Live Event Streaming : Set up, manage, and troubleshoot live streaming equipment for events, ensuring high-quality broadcasts.

· Video Review and Approval : Review and approve video content for educational and promotional use, ensuring it meets quality and compliance standards.

· Digital Signage Creation: Design and manage digital signage content across the campus to ensure effective communication and engagement.

· AV and Technical Support : Provide audio-visual and technical support for various events and daily operations, including conference room and classroom technology.

· Collaborative Projects : Work closely with the creative director and IT director on various projects, contributing to the overall goals of the media department.

· Other Duties : As assigned by the Media Creative Director or Director of Information Technology.

Qualifications

Education and Certification :

· Bachelor’s degree in media, Film, IT, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.

Experience :

· At least 1 year of experience in media, film, AV support or IT; 2 years of experience in media-related roles preferred.

· Experience working in an educational or medical institution strongly preferred.

· Experience using and supporting teleconference software like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, or equivalent.

Skills amp; Abilities:

· Proficiency in using media creation and editing tools,

· Advanced skills in video editing software and digital content creation.

· Basic understanding of AV equipment (Crestron, Extron, Polycom, etc.) and live streaming technologies.

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

· Skilled use of the following software programs and hardware

· Canon C300

· Canon 5D Mk IV

· Camtasia

· Blackmagic Devices and software

· Open Broadcast software

· Adobe Creative Suite

o Premiere

o After Effects

o Lightroom

o Photoshop

o Audition
