Job Description - Parts Manager

Job Summary: The Parts Manager at Taylor Grubaugh Chevrolet will oversee all operations of the parts department at our Waynesville location. This includes managing a team of parts associates, maintaining inventory levels, and providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers. The Parts Manager will work closely with other department managers to ensure efficient and effective operations throughout the dealership. Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time position with a competitive base salary and commission structure. Benefits include health insurance, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 401K retirement plan. Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of parts associates to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
  • Maintain accurate records of all parts transactions.
  • Work closely with service and sales departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of parts.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies to increase parts sales.
  • Hire, train, and develop parts associates to ensure a knowledgeable and efficient team.
  • Oversee the ordering and receiving process of parts from vendors.
  • Utilize inventory management systems to track and forecast parts demand.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
  • Handle and resolve any customer concerns or complaints related to the parts department.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in a parts management role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
