Pega Developer

Remote for client based in Jacksonville, FL

Initial 6-month contract with opportunity for extension

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Pega Developer to design, develop, implement, and support enterprise-level Pega applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Pega Platform, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop Pega applications using Pega Platform.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Implement solutions and ensure they align with business objectives.
  • Perform unit testing and debugging of Pega applications to ensure quality and performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Optimize and enhance existing Pega applications for performance and scalability.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Pega applications.
  • Stay updated with the latest Pega technologies, best practices, and industry trends.
  • Mentor junior developers and share knowledge within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Pega Developer with [X] years of hands-on experience in Pega Platform.
  • Pega certification (CSA, CSSA, or LSA) is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of Pega PRPC (Pega Rules Process Commander) architecture and components.
  • Experience with Pega integration services, including REST, SOAP, and connectors.
  • Proficient in Pega case management, UI design, and Pega decisioning.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases, SQL, and data modeling.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of other programming languages and technologies (Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and DevOps practices.
