Plant Controller

Job Overview:

This role oversees financial operations for a manufacturing plant with approximately $80M in sales and 240 employees. Serving eight strategic business units with around 25000 SKUs the Plant Controller provides operational financial reports and analyses to support plant and divisional management. Responsibilities include ensuring adherence to corporate financial procedures implementing internal controls and collaborating with management to improve profitability and working capital.

Principal End Results:

• Plan organize and control all accounting budgeting financial analysis credit and collection and local tax activities in line with corporate policies.
  
• Ensure accurate accounting and reporting of financial transactions identifying trends and issues for management attention.
  
• Participate in budget and business plan preparation offering financial evaluation and interpretation.
  
• Oversee operating and capital budgets analyzing performance against targets.
  
• Administer corporate credit collection and tax policies.
  
• Provide financial performance information and guidance to support strategic decisionmaking.
  

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis Budget & Recurring Reporting (50%)

• Manage and summarize periodic financial analysis for operational management.
  
• Prepare and review financial analysis reports including sales cost of sales margins manufacturing variances and operational KPIs.
  
• Focus on accuracy and timeliness of manufacturing variances.
  

Continuous Improvement (20%)

• Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance cost competitiveness and agility.
  
• Provide leadership in WCM programs and daily operations reviews.
  

Management of Teams (20%)

• Lead manage and develop finance and purchasing teams.
  

Compliance & Management of Financial/Accounting Systems (10%)

• Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and local regulations.
  
• Maintain strong internal controls for asset and liability management.
  
• Manage financial and accounting systems for accurate performance reporting.
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor s Degree in Finance Accounting or equivalent.
  
• Experience as Plant/Business Controller with increasing responsibilities.
  
• Proficiency in SAP and strong Excel and presentation skills.
  
• Ability to influence activities across departments without direct authority.
  
• Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
  
• Datadriven problemsolving approach.
  

MustHave:

• Bachelor s degree in finance accounting or equivalent.
  
• Experience as Plant/Business Controller with increasing responsibilities.
  
• Experience in Financial Analysis Budget & Recurring Reporting Compliance & Management of Financial/Accounting Systems.
  
• Experience in SAP.
  
• Strong Excel and Presentation skills.
  
• Manufacturing experience.
  
• Minimum 5 years of experience.
  

Nice to Have:

• Master s Degree or MBA.
  
• Yellow Belt or Green Belt Certification for WCM.
  

High school diploma or GED, preferred. At least 1 year of experience as a drywall finisher, preferred. Valid driver s license/state ID. Good knowledge of the tools, materials, and methods used in drywall and ceiling finishing. Ability to interpret construction blueprints. Knowledge of the applicable safety guidelines. Basic math skills. Good problem-solving abilities. Exceptional customer service skills. Physically fit and able to work long hours.
