Platform Engineer

Our client is a Series A startup within the Generative AI space and they are hiring an Platform Engineer to join the team. Backed by one of the leading venture capital firms in the industry, this is an exciting opportunity to join a SaaS company that is revolutionizing their industry. 

Responsibilities:

• As the Platform Engineer, you will design, implement and maintain scalable, robust infrastructure solutions.

• You will be responsible to facilitate customer self-hosting setups and ensure their success.

• Manage Kubernetes clusters for high availability and performance.

• Use Helm for package management and deploy applications with FluxCD.

• Configure and manage cloud environments, focusing on Azure and Azure Government.

• Provide L2/L3 support for Kubernetes systems.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments.

• Collaborate with development teams to improve the developer experience.

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and implement improvements.

• Maintain and upgrade internally hosted production systems, ensuring security and compliance.

Skillset:

• Expertise in Kubernetes, Helm, and FluxCD.

• Strong experience with Kubernetes workload and operator administration (e.g., Postgres, Stackgres, Kafka).

• Clear understanding of Kubernetes APIs, CRDs and RBAC best practices.

• Experience with cloud providers, especially Azure and Azure Gov.

• Strong scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or similar scripting tools.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Azure Bicep, AWS CDK, or Terraform.

• Expertise in designing secure, compliant, and scalable infrastructure solutions within Kubernetes.

• Strong understanding of GitOps principles and practices.

• Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines.

• Experience in GovCon and/or security clearance is a bonus.
