Product Specialist

IronRoad is conducting a confidential search for a Product Specialist. Our search is being done for our Solon, Ohio client and the individual hired for the position will have to report to the office in Solon, Ohio. We are looking for a high energy individual with a can-do attitude that shares their great vibe throughout the organization. This person should be very detail oriented and have a high level of technical, operational and customer service. This is a direct hire position and compensation will be based on skill & experience determined with the hiring manager. This position serves as the nexus among the company & vendor teams, including customers, sales teams, and marketing departments. This role has primary responsibility for technical and operational knowledge of machinery in the SD Italy product line.

Responsibilities and Capabilities:

• Demonstrate the capacity to develop a deep understanding of the product's features, benefits, and applications, being able to effectively communicate the product value in the marketplace and address technical queries.
• Provide technical support for product development activities
• Communicate effectively with customers, sales teams, and marketing departments to ensure a clear understanding of the product's value
• Provide product knowledge and training to customers, sales teams, and other stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement market development and penetration strategies
• Assist sales and marketing teams in development of innovative demonstration materials
• Stay up to date with product developments, updates, and releases
• Prepare presentations and provide support to the sales team
• Address customer inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner
• Work with suppliers, customers, and other supply chain participants to foster product safety management and information exchange along the supply chain, commensurate with risk

Skills:

• Proficient in use of industry-standard manufacturing software typically utilized with CNC equipment
• Proficient in use of Sales and Technical Databases and Microsoft office programs
• Outstanding Verbal & Written English Language Communication
• Project Planning
• Public Speaking (internal and customer communications, trade shows)
• Product knowledge and mastery of materials
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Education & Experience:

• BA/BS Degree in industry-related field
• Extensive experience & skills with popular manufacturing software programs
• Experience operating and maintaining highest quality CNC cutting tables and routers

Work Environment:

• Full-time, with significant domestic travel and periodic international travel to client sites, trade shows, training, and conferences
• Coordinates with Service Engineers on installation and repair of equipment and in consultation during product development
• Eligible for coverage under company commercial insurance policy
• Eligible for or has US Passport and US Driver's license

Physical Requirements

• Sitting - Required to sit for extended periods of time without being able to leave the work area, including driving or riding in a vehicle for extended periods of time.
• Standing - Required to remain on his or her feet in an upright position for continuous periods of time without being able to leave the work area.
• Walking - Required to walk considerable distances in the facility during the course of his or her work (Includes walking to and from work area, cafeteria, parking etc.)
• Lifting - Required to raise or lower objects from one level to another regularly during the shift.
• Pulling and/or Pushing -- Requires exerting force up to a certain number of pounds on a regular basis so that the object is moved to or away from the employee.
• Carrying -- Required, on a regular basis, to carry objects in his or her arms or on the shoulder(s), including personal tools and work supplies.

• Reaching - Required to use the hands and arms to reach for objects.
• Stooping and Crouching -- Regularly required to bend forward by bending at the waist or by bending legs and spine.
• Crawling -- Required to work in a confined space and to crawl and move about on his or her hands and knees.
• Color Determination -- Requires color determination vision (no color blindness).
• Near Acuity -- Requires clarity of vision at 20 feet or more, with or without corrective lenses.

• Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is periodically exposed to a noise level that is usually moderate to heavy.

Pay: $70,000 to $80,000 annually + annual bonus opportunity based on skills and experience and determined by the hiring manager.
