Job Summary:

This project management position is a pivotal role within American Rheinmetall Vehicles (ARV) focusing on supporting the Program team in the successful development of innovative technologies and the delivery of critical combat vehicle products to our Defence customers. The Program Analyst is responsible for directly supporting Program Management and Integrated Product Teams by performing and coordinating project finance, earned value management, supplier management, Integrated Master Schedule development and management and other critical tasks to ensure program success.

DIVISION American Rheinmetall Vehicles, LLC LOCATION Sterling Heights POSITION REQUIREMENTS Essential Functions:

  • Direct support to Combat Vehicle Program Managers and Integrated Product Teams (IPT).
  • As a member of ARV Capture and Proposal teams, support the development of compliant and winning proposals.
  • Coordinate and manage critical data collection and control in conjunction with Data Manager
  • Directly support Cost Account Managers (CAM) and Work Package Managers (WPM) in developing resource loaded plans, performance criteria, earned value, and variance reporting
  • Assist CAM and WPM in the development of corrective action plans.
  • Support Supplier Management Teams in the management of key suppliers.
  • Support subcontract management through meetings, data collection and activity monitoring and control.
  • Liaise between Program Management and Engineering with technical expertise and program knowledge.
  • Support and contribute to the continued development and maturation of ARV Program Management tools and processes.
  • Technical support and liaison between Program Management, Engineering and Support Functions and the IT Team in building, maintaining and improving business management tools and systems.
  • Support program life cycle management through development and maintenance of program plans and tools, as well as on-going and refresher training.
  • Support ISO9001, AS9100 and CMMI certification and maintenance by example and training support.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders to ensure team performance is optimized.
  • Work collaboratively across all functions to ensure successful program execution.
  • Ability to travel to Germany and other sites in the US and abroad as required.
  • Undertake other duties as directed by the ARV Program Leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (as demonstrated through experience, training and/or testing)

  • Ability to gain knowledge of the US DoD process and procedures for vehicle development and procurement
  • Ability to gain familiarity with the US Army TACOM
  • Currently holds or has the ability to obtain US Defense security clearance
  • Ability to gain knowledge of Military Standards and Regulations is desirable
  • Ability to present technical / commercial / contractual solutions to internal stakeholders
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in a variety of settings and be able to assimilate complex instructions easily. Ability to communicate with next level management and staff to establish productive relationships. Ability to explain complex concepts in a way that makes sense to someone less knowledgeable about the topic.
  • Must demonstrate an enthusiasm to engage with and support overseas colleagues to ensure all staff have the information and opportunity to perform to the best of their abilities.
  • Must promote collaboration and facilitate teamwork across the organization and its external service providers. Must be tactful, diplomatic, and work with integrity, honesty, and respect for others.
  • Must display excellent listening and analytical skills in order to understand internal and external client concerns and needs with the ability to support prompt and effective responses.
  • Shall help management support and encourage performance through hands-on mentoring and coaching to help individuals and teams to achieve high performance. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are required to work effectively with the US team, multi-national team, suppliers, customer, and corporate parent staff.
  • High level of self-motivation and standards with the ability to multi-task; balancing "analysis" with "doing". Must be adaptable and able to prioritize and work under pressure to meet deadlines. Work on own initiative.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • BSc in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology, Vehicle Technology, Systems Engineering, or equivalent work experience


Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 Years’ Experience in supporting US Defense programs or 2 Years’ Experience in working in a large corporate environment performing similar role.
  • Practical ‘hands on’ attitude with the ability to operate independently
  • Experience in capture, bid contract negotiations, and planning delivery is desirable
  • Some experience desired with program management tools such as Earned Value Management, DELTEK Suite of Program Management Tools, MS Project, Open Plan or other Scheduling software, SAP, Oracle or other Enterprise Resource Planning tool
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint at minimum, Power BI, Access and Visual Basic experience is desirable

Background Prerequisites:

  • Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding and training in PMP, 6 Sigma, LEAN principles, Systems Engineering is desired
