Quality Engineer

Position Overview: The Quality Engineer position is responsible for ensuring that a high-level of quality is maintained throughout the design, production, and distribution process of the organizations products. The Quality Engineer will review customer specifications, develop and maintain quality standards and procedures, and use problem-solving skills to identify and correct issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain quality standards and procedures in accordance with customer specifications and industry standards (ISO, APQP, PPAP).
• Lead and facilitate corrective action activities in the event of any non-conformances or customer issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and problem solving techniques in order to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Monitor the effectiveness of processes and procedures, analyze data, and recommend changes for continuous improvement.
• Conduct Quality Assurance audits to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications.
• Develop quality training materials and present to production personnel.
• Perform product and process validations as required.
• Maintain effective relationships with suppliers to ensure quality of materials and components.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in mechanical, electrical, or other engineering disciplines.
• 2+  years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with design of experiments and statistical analysis.
• Knowledge of control valve, machine shop, and process development.
• Thorough understanding of ISO, PPAP, and APQP.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
