In addition to manufacturing operations, the company also offers a full array of services including: chemical research and development, product and process engineering, tooling, technical support and accredited laboratory testing. Woodbridge operates more than 50 facilities across 10 countries-employing over 7,500 teammates and serving more than 600 customers worldwide. This position can be staffed within any Canada/US Woodbridge location. Role Purpose:


The Quality Manager manages QA to support manufacturing and other functional area activities. Acts as a representative for corporate projects/initiatives and facilitates/participates in the support of all product development efforts (e.g., validation protocols and other reports) and aligns local policies/procedures with global strategies. Responsibilities:

  • Supporting onboarding and training of teammates in quality tools and quality systems (such as Master Map, KPI Management, BCMS, Core Tools, Woodbridge Operations Library).
  • Support standardization and governance of quality systems at existing and new sites - including compliance to IATF 16949 requirements and customer specific requirements.
  • Guide corporate disciplines in compliance to IATF 16949 requirements and customer specific requirements.
  • Provide leadership in the use of quality tools such as core tools (Process Flow, PFMEA and Control Plan), root cause analysis, corrective actions, layered process audits (internal audits, control plan audits, product audits), etc.
  • Engage with cross functional teams to ensure product quality through conformance to Standards and Procedures.
  • Develop and improve training content and techniques for the Global Quality team.
  • Communicate lessons learned and best methods across Business Units, Regions, and the Global Quality team.
  • Lead the WPS operating model, by example - developing ways to improve our quality systems.
  • Support enterprise-wide KPI Management - including the MQR system, BIC system, the OPEX Dashboard.
  • Develop and improve internal audit content and protocols for the site program and the corporate program.
  • Provide onsite (travel involved) BU and Site execution support for product quality, customer specific requirements, APQP and IATF requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Technical degree (Engineering) coupled with at least five (5) years ' experience in quality management or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949/ISO Quality System, IMDS.
  • Internal auditor status.
  • Experience with Customer Specific Requirements and OEM portals.
  • Comprehensive core tools, root cause analysis and corrective action experience.
  • Strong communication skills, demonstrated ability to work with customers (internal & external).
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of html and Access is an asset.
  • Ability to lead in a matrix, team environment.
  • Ability to travel Internationally, or manage short term plant assignments.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, 5S, and Kaizen.
