Job Description - Regional Quality Manager

Position Title: Regional Quality Manager - Manufacturing Job Summary: As a Regional Quality Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing quality control procedures across multiple manufacturing facilities within a designated region. Your primary goal is to ensure that products meet established quality standards and compliance requirements while optimizing processes to improve efficiency and minimize defects. You will collaborate closely with production teams, quality assurance personnel, and senior management to drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: * Quality Management: Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes and procedures to ensure consistent product quality across all manufacturing sites within the region. * Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and customer specifications related to product quality and safety. * Quality Assurance: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track quality metrics such as defect rates, customer complaints, and non-conformance issues. Take corrective actions as necessary to address deviations from quality standards. * Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with procurement teams to evaluate supplier performance and implement quality assurance measures throughout the supply chain. * Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality enhancement. Implement best practices and quality improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing. * Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to manufacturing personnel on quality control procedures, inspection techniques, and quality awareness. * Risk Management: Assess potential risks to product quality and develop risk mitigation strategies to prevent quality-related issues. * Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, research and development, and customer service to address quality-related challenges and drive quality improvement efforts. * Audit and Compliance: Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes, procedures, and documentation to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements. * Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on quality performance, trends, and improvement initiatives. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
* Proven experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment, with at least 8-10 years in a leadership role.
* In-depth knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and techniques.
* Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards applicable to the manufacturing industry.
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
* Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma Black Belt) is a plus.
* Willingness to travel within the designated region as needed. Additional Information: * This is a full-time position based in Pennsylvania with travel required within the designated region.
