Data Scientist

Technology Partners, Inc. seeks Data Scientists in Chesterfield, MO.

Duties:

• Design prescriptive type analytical models using python docplex, commercial languages/systems/solvers (OPL, CPLEX, IBM DOC), ad-hoc heuristics or metaheuristics.
• Define and articulate objective function and constraints of such business problems that are aligned with broader company goals.
• Execute benchmarking studies, lower bound analysis, demonstrate prior experience on solution quality and runtime performance improvement techniques.
• Collaborate with the software engineering team in the delivery of the developed models.
• Analyze and visualize data, perform data cleaning and wrangling activities for passing between functions and models.

Requires a Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field (or its equivalent) with any amount of knowledge in the following which can be gained through prior work experience, internships, or university level coursework OR a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field (or its equivalent) and two (2) years of experience in the following:

• Machine Learning and Statistical Modeling
• Mathematical Optimization, Algorithm Development, and Simulation
• Programming Languages (i.e., Python, R, or Java)
• Optimization Software Packages (i.e., CPLEX or Gurobi)
• Cloud Computing on International Business Machines Decision Optimization Center (IBM DOC), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure.
• Data Storytelling Web Application Development

Telecommuting is permitted. Travel to unanticipated client locations.
