The Office of Unemployment Insurance Operations (OUIO) administers Ohio's unemployment insurance program, which provides short-term income to unemployed workers who lose their jobs through no fault of their own. It reduces the hardship felt by families during periods of temporary unemployment and bolsters the local economies by maintaining the purchasing power of the unemployed worker. You'll work with staff from the business program and IT to develop reports and dashboards to efficiently produce data requirements for internal and external partners. You will coordinate with business and data experts to resolve complex business problems with data. Responsibilities include:

Schedule: Position is currently remote (subject to change in accordance with teleworking policy). Standard workdays are Monday through Friday. Hours are between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. as approved by the supervisor.
Travel: Travel happens a few times a year for state meetings and training. In addition, meetings for the Unemployment Insurance Benefits and Appeals Modernization project require in-person participation in Columbus, Ohio.

Pay Information
This position is in the State of Ohio’s OCSEA Pay Schedule, Pay Range 33. Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1, currently $30.55 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.

Telework Policy
ODJFS may require occasional in-person meetings for training or other operational needs. You will have access to ODJFS shared workspaces, if needed. Employees are required to sign a teleworking agreement upon their first day. Schedules are subject to change based on the agency’s operational needs and telework status. Telework is considered a privilege and agreements are reviewed annually.
