Full Job Description The Sales Manager role meets company goals and increases sales revenue. This position drives sales revenue growth, ensures customers receive excellent service, develops sales forecasting, identifies new markets, and creates a strategy working with marketing to succeed in those markets, which includes preparing and presenting effective proposals and maintaining well-organized documentation and reports utilizing CRM systems. The sales manager coordinates with the company resources to meet customer-specific requirements. Identifies strategic sales targets, developing leads into prospects and prospects into sales. Responsible for building and maintaining long-term relationships with key accounts and managing each sales pipeline stage. The Sales Manager selects, develops, trains, and manages staff in their department. Contributes to succession planning, identifying individuals for key positions. Contributes and supports the development of employees' career plans and learning and training programs. Balances the needs of employees and the interests of the organization. Conducts thorough evaluations of industry trends and competition, and proactively communicates with the team. Take the lead in designing and implementing sales initiatives to drive business growth. Leads negotiations with customers to ensure profitability. This role ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, and customer portals and assures that all staff attend required trainings and maintain safe working conditions and practices in the department. The position ensures increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction through interaction and relationship development. The Sales Manager works closely with engineering, marketing, and others to ensure sales success for the company. Allocates resources within own area based on goals, priorities, and budget. Implements processes that improve the quality of planning, control, and decision-making. Major Tasks, Accountabilities, and Key Responsibilities:
  • Selling products and custom variations, building customer relationships, conducting market and industry evaluations, and communicating findings routinely to the team.
  • Identifies strategic sales targets for our products with custom variations and creates a strategy to succeed in those markets.
  • Drives revenue growth, develops quarterly sales forecasting, and contributes to the 5-year plan.
  • Ensures customer experience with the company is excellent, leads customer sales negotiations, and works with the team to ensure each order is profitable.
  • Selects, develops, leads, and manages a team of employees, including overseeing their work and motivating the team toward sales goals.
  • Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, customer portals, and customer requirements.
  • Works closely with engineering, marketing, and others to ensure sales success for the company.
  • 60% of the time directing inside sales team and their efforts, and 20% of the selling, prospecting, and relationship building with customers.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • BS required in business, marketing or relative field.
  • 5+ years' experience in technical sales.
  • 2+ years' experience in sales management, experience hiring, motivating, and managing employees
  • Proven track record of success in B2B sales and experience managing major accounts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM systems, ability to read and interpret complex documents.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, business relationship, and strategic development skills
  • Entrepreneurial and operational style, motivated by results and excellence a must
  • Effective communication, mentoring by example, facilitation, and team-building skills
Environment / Physical Demands: As part of this job, the candidate can anticipate working in a standard office and a space with multiple occupants, attending virtual team meetings, and visiting customers in person as needed. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate. Standard office equipment like computers, keyboards, phones, and photocopiers will be used regularly. There may be times when the candidate will need to report to our Tempe facility for training and meetings during the workday. Schedule:
  • Full Time, in office (Chandler Blvd. and I-10 area)
  • Monday to Thursday - 9-hour day shift
  • Friday (6:00 am - 10:00 am)
  • Off on Saturday's & Sunday's, most of the time.
Compensation:
  • $80k, DOE
