Senior developer / contract

Job Description
A growing team in the energy and utility management industry is seeking a strong Senior Power BI Developer to join them in a fully remote, 6-month contract to hire role. This company is a major player in their industry and is responsible for the manufacturing of power transformers.


The company is amidst changing their ERP system and need a developer to help them with building power bi reports. An ideal candidate would have experience working on Power BI solutions and databases in addition to report building. You will be the first boots on the ground for their Power BI team, and when converted to FTE will be responsible for teaching/leading other developers.


This is a contract to hire opportunity with the potential to convert to full time after 6 months. You will receive benefits for the duration. This role operates on a remote basis, with the opportunity for local candidates to go into office in the Athens, GA area for work events if preferred.
Required Skills & Experience

• 9+ years of professional business intelligence development experience (PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, Excel, DAX)
• Experience building ETL/ELT processes and thorough understanding of big data principles, techniques, and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain data insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Review the data model and propose changes for the data model to support the reports coming out of Power BI.
• Strong data analysis skills.
• Ability to work remotely.
