Overview
GovCIO is currently hiring for Senior Software Developer position that requires extensive experience in custom built applications that require Oracle, Unix and.Net technologies. In addition, experience in full life cycle development and Agile development methodology. Also, hands-on experience in analysis and design, working with business customer(s) and infrastructure teams to translate requirements to applications. This position is located in the Washington, DC area and will be a fully remote position.
Responsibilities
+ Responsible foranalysis, design, testing, development, implementation and change management
+ Demonstrate knowledge ofdata management, data warehousing, data modeling
+ Develop and program using technologies such as,PL/ SQL , HTML , JavaScript, .Net.
+ Work in an Agile Waterfall environment
+ Create and maintain applications written Oracle PL/ SQL , Unix Shell Scripting, HTML , JavaScript and .Net
+ Working withinfrastructure team to translate requirements
+ Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field with 10 plus years (or commensurate experience, of IT related experience).
Required Skills and Experience
+ 10 years of workingexperience that includes analysis, design, testing, development, implementation and change management.
+ 6-8 plus years of experience in data management, data warehousing, data modeling
+ 6-8 plus years ofSoftware Life Cycle Management
+ 5 years plus working experience with Languages:PL/ SQL , HTML , JavaScript, .Net.
+ 5 years plus working experience Database: Oracle
+ Proficient in SQL – able to write complex queries.
+ Operating Systems : Linux, Unix, Windows
+ Working experience withSQL Developer, MS Visio, Microsoft Office, VersionOne, GitHub
+ Working experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies
+ Must have expertise in creating and maintaining complex PL/ SQL code/packages spanning multiple schemas.
+ Hands-on experience with Oracle, Java, PL/ SQL , JavaScript, HTML , JSON , SQL Developer, JDeveloper, JBuilder, Shell Scripting, UNIX , and Linux.
+ Active US Security Clearance or the ability to be submitted and granted one.
+ Clearance Required: Must be able to acquire and maintain USPS Public Trust
Preferred Skills and Experience
+ Understanding of Java and development skills to maintain applications.
+ Understanding and working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle.
+ Interact directly with the customer on behalf of the team to resolve issues or identify new requirements to be addressed by the team.
+ Working experiencewith infrastructure teams to translate requirements for custom built and COTS applications.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.
+ Candidates shall demonstrate communication skills to understand the requirements, and present their ideas to the team and to the customer(s).
+ Candidates need to work well in a team environment with a mindset to share, receive and discuss ideas to compile the best solutions for customers.
+ Working experience in creating and maintaining applications written Oracle PL/ SQL , Unix Shell Scripting, HTML , JavaScript and .Net.
+ Willingness to learn and acquire new knowledge.
+ Candidates need to be self-driven and be an active contributor in shaping solutions for the customers.
+ Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, both individual and team related tasks.
+ Maintains attention to detail in high-pressure situations, and the ability to exhibit confidence and knowledge in solving problems.

+ In depth knowledge of the United States Postal Service ( USPS ) organization and operational management reporting.

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Posted Salary Range
USD $120,000.00 – USD $132,000.00 /Yr.
