Job Description - Shipment Control Analyst

Volt is immediately hiring for a Shipment Control Analyst. As a Shipment Control Analyst you will: Individual will support the Shipment Control Center to secure capacity for full truckload and expedite shipments into and out of the manufacturing and distribution center sites in the U.S. Additionally will assist in the regular generation and distribution of supplier performance scorecards.
  • Field & process requests via phone or E-mail to secure truck or intermodal capacity for 3M shipments moving within the U.S. as well as cross border into Canada and Mexico.

  • Secure capacity for expedite shipments and monitor shipment progress from shipment to delivery

  • Generate and distribute carrier performance scorecards

  • Provide training to transportation suppliers on use of 3M’s dispatch system (LCS)


This is a full time opportunity.
100% Remote
Core Hours: M-F 8:00 – 4:30 with occasional evening and weekend coverage. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Associates degree or higher from an accredited college

  • 1 year or more experience in the Transportation industry.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Functions well in a team environment

  • Ability to work independently

  • Sense of urgency
