DESCRIPTION
Amazon QuickSight is looking to hire a talented software development engineer to build world class data analytics experiences. Amazon QuickSight powers data-driven organizations with unified business intelligence (BI) at hyperscale. With QuickSight, all users can meet varying analytic needs from the same source of truth through modern interactive dashboards, paginated reports, natural language queries and embedded analytics. We recently launched Amazon Q in QuickSight and it enhances business productivity using Generative BI capabilities to accelerate decision-making.
As a full-stack engineer in Q, You will envision solutions that help our customers build data driven stories from their dashboard using AI. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining both the front-end and back-end components of our AWS single page application. You will work closely with design, product, and engineering teams to deliver robust and user-friendly solutions. Your expertise will help us push the boundaries of our technology and improve our products continuously.

About the team
We are passionate about making ML insights accessible and easy for all levels of business users. Our teams mission is to empower readers to find the critical business information they require. We seek to explain to users how we arrived at our ML-powered answers to their questions and present them with further exploration paths that could lead to key insights that wouldn't be immediately obvious.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
