Job Description - Sr. BI Developer - Analytics Engineer

Position: Sr. BI Developer - Analytics Engineer

Location: 100% Remote - Within the Continental United States

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Proficiently handles unstructured data, identifying correlations across datasets to unlock actionable insights.
  • Utilizes appropriate data sources and definitions for analyses and extracts data from relational databases (e.g., SQL).
  • Takes charge of collecting business requirements, data validation, dashboard development, reporting, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Collaborates with technical and operational teams to deliver data solutions aligning with business, technical, and data governance requirements.
  • Collects and analyzes operational, financial, and clinical data from various sources, including EMR, patient flow, and billing systems.
  • Develops meaningful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and measurement systems, driving quantifiable improvements in business operations.
  • Creates and maintains accurate design documentation, alongside a repository of data architecture and design artifacts and procedures.
  • Designs, executes, and validates pilots, prototypes, or proof of concepts, meeting established goals and deadlines.
  • Manages production data and analytics processes, ensuring data accuracy, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing analyses and dashboards.
  • Supports architectural guidelines for the data and analytics environment, ensuring scalability, security, performance, and usability.
  • Leads multiple projects, facilitating design sessions, and delivering cohesive data solutions to organizational leadership.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders and subject matter experts to standardize data sources and dictionaries for enterprise analytics and reporting.
  • Performs statistical analysis and articulates interpretation of results, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and variance analysis.
  • Presents analytics to diverse audiences, utilizing data visualization methods effectively, particularly with Tableau, ensuring clear comprehension.

Job Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, analytics, biostatistics, informatics, computer science, business, or engineering required.
  • Master's degree in a related field preferred.

Experience:

  • 3-4 years of experience in data collection, management, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Experience supporting customer groups through data analysis, report creation, and graphical presentation.
  • Tableau Desktop experience preferred.
  • Database development and maintenance experience, including metrics implementation, performance benchmarking, and data/metrics governance.
  • Knowledge of mathematical process modeling and simulation.
  • Familiarity with operational and/or clinical data in the healthcare industry preferred.
