Temporary Communications Associate

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Temporary Communications Associate will assist Grace Church ministries with creative and digital requests and create content for various church-wide initiatives and events. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Communications and Marketing, focusing on collaboration and maintaining brand standards.The Communications Associate will be responsible to the following:

• Create and edit written content for ministry event promotion and creative projects.
• Assist church ministries with creative requests, which include graphics, print and apparel.
• Maintain brand standards in collaboration with the Director of Communications and Marketing.
• Direct and collaborate with volunteer photographers.
• Assist church ministries with writing, proofing, and editing of printed and online ministry communication and newsletters.
• Research, develop, and post stories/information for church online media, including the Grace Church App.
• Perform miscellaneous writing, proofing, and editing projects as assigned by the Director of Communications and Marketing.
• Other duties as assigned.

PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS

• Experience required: 2 years+ of experience in Communications, Content Marketing or a comparable position.
• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field preferred.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• A strong knowledge of vocabulary, grammar, and nuances of the English language.
• Ability to prioritize, manage and assign projects based on workloads and skillsets.
• Detail-oriented multi-tasker who can see work through from concept to completion.
• Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
• Has a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20).
• Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity in all situations.
• Consistent attendance and participation in Grace Church and involvement in the life of the church.
