Job Description - UI/UX Developer

Primary Talent Partners is searching for UI/UX Developer to join our client's team in San Antonio, TX. This role will be a 12-month, full-time, W2 contract with a high potential for extension and/or conversion.

Job Description:As a Software Developer you'll be responsible for creating Mobile/Web experiences and interfaces. Working with full-stack application development teams would be a plus. The developer needs to have a keen understanding of modern web technology stacks, especially front-end programming. Tasks and Responsibilities:Research, design, develop, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of UX designs into the JavaScript/Java codebase ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX design standardsAct as designer-developer, switching hats in both the areas of design & development, as Subject Matter Expert (SME) assisting with decision-making for some high visibility ongoing projectsCreate clean semantic HTML markup that passes WCAG & ADA/508 Accessibility standards & complianceProvide development and support to the customer-facing design system including new components, defects, accessibility, and page templatesCollaborate with analysts, developers, and architects for successful implementation and component requirementsRemain current on user interface framework trends and programming techniques and suggest or research new tools and methods as neededDesign and maintain design files, wireframes, and mock-upsDesign and develop UI and UX interfaces and assist with new user interface testing or participate in usability reviewsHands-on development on front-end user frameworks (Vue.js, Angularjs, Reactjs, Jquery, etc)Provide responsive website app development and support to the customer-facing design system including new components, defects, accessibility, and page templatesAct as designer-developer, switching hats in both the areas of design & development, as Subject Matter Expert (SME) assisting with decision-making for some high visibility ongoing projectsDevelop reusable and responsive, interactive patterns and code libraries that meet the highest W3 standards for HTML, Javascript, and CSSCollaborate with business analysts, senior developers, and architects for successful implementation and component requirements in an SDLC processResearch, design, develop, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of frontend designs into the JS/Java codebaseParticipate in conceptualizing, prioritizing, and creating strategies for the product UXDevelop well-structured and maintainable code that follows the best practices and industry standards Work with team members to develop UI prototypes as necessary and validate ideas with a data-driven approachDesign and develop UI and UX interfaces to meet standards and requirementsProficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around themRemain current on user interface trends and programming techniques and suggest new tools and methods as necessary.Minimum Qualifications High School or GEDDeep experience in front-end web application development with strong hands-on programming experience with at least one language Java, Javascript, React, VUE, and Angular on LAMP/MEAN/MERN stack is required.Experience with creating conceptual and detailed design solutions based on end-user needsKnowledge and software development with Adobe Experience Manager, Sharepoint, and WordPress CMS will be a plus.History of working with cross-functional teams using Agile/Scrum methodologiesExperience with creating conceptual and detailed design solutions based on end-user needsExperience with communicating and working with business, and technology users to create holistic solutionsSkills, knowledge, and experience using end to end Human-centered design-HCD techniques including design, research, and usabilityPreferred Qualifications UI/UX design or web developer certifications & trainingPrevious experience in the Electric and Gas Utility IndustryBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or applicable business degree from an accredited university OR Relevant business technical experienceExposure to front-end user frameworks (Vue.js, Angularjs, Reactjs, Jquery, etc).Experience working within agile ceremonies and methodologies Primary Talent Partners is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
