Description
The Operations Team Leader is responsible for effectively managing production activities for the making areas and developing collaborative partnerships with CP colleagues. He or she must be able to deliver the agreed to business results while maintaining positive employee relations. The primary accountabilities of the role include daily production schedule adherence, customer service, area financial performance, Quality, Microbiology, Environmental Health & Safety, Labor Relations, people and team development. The Team Leader has to be an effective and valuable member of the Factory management team, to ensure delivery of subsidiary business results in his or her area. The Team Leader works within a structure that requires considerable interface with Planning and Warehousing. The Team Leader guides and empowers teams in the implementation of Category Supply Chain strategy.
Responsibilities include:
Forms, develops and coaches an operations team in a values-driven, performance based environment
Leads the team in completing key performance indicators (KPIs) and keeps the plant informed about operations performance on a regular basis
Manages daily people issues, such as timekeeping, vacation, overtime and attendance
Gathers data and identifies a daily strategy which maximizes product quality and productivity
Coordinates the activity of operations and maintenance team members
Other job functions as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or Business related field
Working knowledge of Google, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email
Preferred:
Working knowledge of production and process equipment, preferably in a processing industry such as food, chemicals or pharmaceuticals
Ability to establish a specific course of action to accomplish goals through appropriate allocation of time and resources
Ability to clearly express ideas both orally and in writing
