We are looking for passionate Software Engineers into our space of Enterprise Test Data Management (TDM). TDM is an Enterprise team dedicated to providing quality test data to our engineering community spanning over 600 sprint Teams. We test data services that are leveraged by application teams to perform rigorous integration/system/performance tests which enhances quality of code deployed in our production environments.

What You’ll Do:

• By actively participating in horizontal forums, you’ll harness a network of trusted relationships among tech teams, designers, key internal stakeholders and partner teams

• You’ll work autonomously in an agile environment, to conduct research and develop features that utilize new and evolving technologies

• Work with a team of developers with deep experience in ETL/Big Data Technologies (Spark, EMR), Cloud Services (AWS), machine learning, distributed microservices, Streaming platform (Kafka) and full stack systems

• Utilize programming languages like JavaScript (Angular, React, Node,Vue),Python, HTML/CSS, TypeScript and Java, open source frameworks, RESTful web services, and work on cross-browser and cross-device development, .Net Development, Spring Boot, RDBMS & NoSQL databases

• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community

• Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment

• Perform unit tests and conduct code reviews with other team members to make sure your code is rigorously designed, elegantly coded, and effectively tuned for performance which meets corporate requirements and standards

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• At least 4 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Application Development or Enterprise Data Management including Python, SQL, JavaScript (Angular, React, Node, Vue), .Net Core Development or Java

• 2+ years of experience with a public cloud (AWS)

• 2+ years of experience working on real-time data and streaming applications (Kafka)

• 2+ years of experience in Database development with RDBMS & NoSQL databases

• 2+ years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake)

• 2+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux including basic commands and shell scripting

• 2+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Location is New York City: $156,596 - $184,748 for Senior Software EngineerLocation is San Francisco, California: $165,896 - $195,720 for Senior Software EngineerRemote roles in other areas of New York & California, and across Colorado & Washington: $132,699 - $156,555 for Senior Software Engineer

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
