Supply Chain Sourcing Mgr I

H-E-B's manufacturing, warehousing, and transportation (MW&T) divisions support each of our retail locations, and our Supply Chain Team innovates and executes to optimize source-to-shelf operations. As a Sourcing Manager I, you'll be responsible for procurement and strategy design of designated non-retail categories, including supply chain management, capital, expense, revenue, fixtures, and equipment. Once you're eligible, you'll become an Owner in the company, so we're looking for commitment, hard work, and focus on quality and Customer service. Management:
- Serves as subject matter expert for complex categories
- Researches / incorporates market trends, best buying practices, cost structures, pricing, and growth and development of assigned categories
- Manages cost negotiation activities with vendors / suppliers
- Guides new projects as assigned
- Recommends innovative ways to improve purchasing functions
- Independently learns / manages all buying and business activities related to assigned categories
- Collaborates with internal / external stakeholders related to assigned categories
- Resolves escalations; reports issues to higher level, as needed What is your background?
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or comparable experience
- 4+ years of relevant experience
