Job Purpose: The Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of warehouse operations, specializing in the meticulous tracking and management of all products shipped and received. This position demands a keen eye for detail and a strong command of computer skills to ensure the accuracy of packing, labeling, and documentation processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and assist with the shipping, receiving, and warehousing of materials.
- Utilize SAP to monitor the movement of return materials and update the automated system for material and equipment tracking.
- Oversee the handling and disposition of returns, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Address and resolve discrepancies in installer and warehouse inventory.
- Conduct cycle count activities and participate in physical inventories and reconciliations.
- Provide exemplary internal customer service, including order taking and prioritization over the telephone.
- Maintain the warehouse and equipment in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Engage in general warehousing and housekeeping activities to meet facility goals.
- Demonstrate familiarity with international shipping requirements and freight classifications.
- Manage lost shipping claims and initiate proof of delivery documents.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Capacity to learn and operate standard warehousing equipment.
- Proficiency in lifting objects weighing up to 50lbs.
- Knowledge of SAP is highly advantageous.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Availability for extended hours and weekend work as needed.
- Regularly move boxes or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
- Operate in an indoor warehouse environment.
