Job Description - Warehouse Associate

The Role

 

Our Warehouse Technicians ship and receive hazardous chemicals according to ISO 9001:2015 and OSHA 18001 standards and follow all D.O.T. and CFR 49 requirements.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

 

  • Receives materials delivered to facility; ships all materials as required and with strict adherence to DOT regulations
  • Verifies quantities and quality of materials received and shipped; confirms shipments and receipts into system
  • Communicates any damages found on materials received
  • Stores material in warehouse properly; notifies appropriate parties of receipt of material; distributes or puts away material as required
  • Secures warehouse
  • Keeps warehouse and adjacent areas clean and organized
  • Trains regularly on all federal, state, and local environmental regulations, requirements and guidelines including, but not limited to, DOT requirements and RCRA requirements; follows and adheres to all guidelines, regulations, and requirements
  • Abides by all safety procedures and practices applicable to location and position; participates in appropriate safety training; demonstrates commitment to and support of EHS&S principles and values; champions safety
  • Performs cycle counts and physical counts of raw materials, components and finished goods
  • Performs other duties assigned that fall within the generally expected scope of this position
  • Drives forklift or other vehicles required to transport, move, or arrange warehoused materials

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • A minimum of a High School diploma, or equivalent, is required
  • Experience in warehousing operations preferred but not required
  • At least 1 year of experience operating a forklift is required
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Must possess valid state driver’s license
  • Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to read, interpret and follow written job instructions and directions; ability to read and understand safety procedures; understanding of OSHA and DOT regulations/standards
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow through on assignments
  • Excellent English communications skills, oral and written; ability to successfully handle business interactions across all levels and functions in the business
  • Must be able to work varying or rotating skills, as needed, to support the business
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

  • Organizational skills - Ability to multitask without loss of efficiency or accuracy, the ability to work and sustain attention with distractions and interruptions, the ability to perform in situations requiring speed, deadlines or productivity quotas.

 

Pay Range: This is a non-exempt opportunity. Starting wage is $22.02/hr.
