Job Summary:

Avfuel Corporation provides the global aviation industry fuel and services through its network of branded dealers and international locations.

Avfuel is seeking an Accounts Receivable Intern for summer 2024 (2-3 month duration)

Duties/Responsibilities:

• High level of internal and external customer service to amplify Avfuel's exceptional customer relationships
• Communicating with clients and customers, or specific relationships, to request and arrange payments
• Troubleshooting and problem solving issues through to resolution, emphasis on strong accounting skills
• Recording and tracking payments in company and customer specific databases
• Updating client accounts and notating with payment or contact information
• Assisting customers with billing inquiries, including dispute resolution and escalation
• Reconciliation of customer accounts, emphasis on strong organizational skills and follow through
• Other duties as assigned by management

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proficient and/or familiarity with MS Office; Word and Excel
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service over email and telephone
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with team members
• Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks, projects and priorities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to identify issues, compare data, investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Analytical problem solving skills
• Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic

Education and Experience:

• Pursuing an Accounting, Finance, Business degree with rising junior status in the fall 2024

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
