Anderson County Internship

The paid internship provides an opportunity for undergraduate students to gain professional learning objectives while discovering the operation of local government, interacting with departments and officials, and learn how government responds to community needs.

This internship is designed to provide a supervised learning experience in a professional setting through observation of operations. In addition, the internship offers students an opportunity to:

• Contribute to projects and support the creation of government deliverables
• Gain real work experience and provide meaningful assistance to the County while gaining skills in a particular field
• Research opportunities that permits a deepened understanding of organizational policy, issues, and intersection of policy and operation
• Gain understanding of internal relationships of the County and between municipal, county, state, and federal government agencies
